As the Director of Communications for Microsoft AI - Copilot, you will assist the leadership team in communicating how our organization enhances customers businesses through our products, data, and services. This will involve advertising and developing new business models for AI-first products. This role requires knowledge and deep awareness of our product strategy to help communicate our approach and impact to our internal teams. Responsibilities: Craft clear compelling and consistent messaging Provide strategic communication counsel to leadership Manage and optimize internal communication channels Support change management communications Work closely with product, sales, engineering, marketing, MAI communications and legal across the company as a trusted partner and advisor. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8 years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, OR related experience A big, strategic thinker who is skilled at looking across the business, connecting dots, seeing the bigger picture, and articulating customer benefit and value A great storyteller with strong writing skills who has the ability to distill technical or complex content and make it relatable to the masses. A self-starter with can-do attitude – highly entrepreneurial, energetic and self-motivated with experience in cross-group collaboration and confident presence with executives and customers/partners. Deft navigation of multi-faceted stakeholder and business partner landscape as well as tight collaboration across other communications teams both inside and outside the company to achieve common goals Experience in storytelling, issues management, technology product PR, agency management and media relations, experience with vertical industry PR a bonus Excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to be nimble and flexible and adaptable to changing customer dynamics. 8 years of experience in public relations, communications, analyst relations or journalism Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in public relations, marketing or journalism. Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8 years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience OR Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 10 years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience OR equivalent experience. Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
