enhance life. Job Summary The Global Trade Control Associate
Specialist will manage and oversee Global Trade compliance and
support the company’s compliance operations by addressing
applicable export and import control requirements. The role will
support the various business functions and is responsible for
ensuring adherence to international trade laws and regulations
while supporting the company’s business objectives. The role is
responsible for managing trade compliance programs, oversea the
export/ import processes and collaborating with cross functional
teams to mitigate risks and optimize efficiency including but not
limited to defining the global trade requirements, managing and
developing global trade compliance training, application and
provision of permits and licensing when applicable. This position
requires analytical and leadership skills, self-motivation and a
positive attitude that will be constantly challenged in a changing

to perform the essential functions. • Manage global trade
compliance requirements and realize efficiencies in Emergent’s
global supply chain • Classify imports and exports under their
respective regulatory regimes (HTSUS, EAR, ITAR, Schedule B) • Work
closely with the Global Logistics team to create and enforce local
Global Trade Control policies and procedures in conjunction with
global standards and best practices where applicable. • Liaise
between various supply-chain functions within the enterprise,
including all Emergent sites, to provide ongoing support for import
and exports requiring Global Trade oversight. • Drive and deliver
logistics and global trade control initiatives through
collaboration with cross-functional teams. • Develop implement and
manage global trade compliance programs with US and International
trade regulations, including but not limited to ITAR, EAR, OFAC and
customs laws. • Obtain and manage export and import licenses,
permits, and registrations under US and international trade
regulation. • Implement company-wide and business-line specific
import and export trade control processes (e.g., supporting the
development of project specific Technology Control Plans) •
Responsible for developing and conducting tailored global trade
compliance training • Monitor regulatory changes, including
emerging regulations that affect trade compliance and communicate
regulatory changes to affected parties • Manage Emergent’s
restricted party screening process including ensuring all relevant
business partners are screened, potential matches are reviewed and
escalating restricted parties as necessary. • Act as a primary
point of contact for global trade issues. • Develop and conduct
assessments of our current policies to mitigate risk and initiate
changes to our current program. • Drive continues improvement
initiatives to enhance our global trade control processes. •
Maintain and update trade compliance databases and systems. The

functions. Minimum Education, Experience, Skills Required: • 3
years of experience U.S. export control experience (operational,
government, law firm, or consulting) • Bachelor’s degree in a
related field • Knowledge of U.S. export regulations including EAR
and ITAR Preferred: • Knowledge of U.S. import regulations (HTSUS
classification, FTA utilization, Origination analyses, etc.) •
Knowledge of non-U.S. export or import regulations • Advanced
degree / diploma / certificate in a relevant subject • Government
agency or freight forwarding / custom brokerage experience (DDTC,
BIS, CBP) • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills •
Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and project
management skills • Familiarity with technology tools and system
used to manage global trade requirements • Knowledge of board of
pharmacy state licensing requirements U.S. Base Pay Ranges and
Benefits Information The estimated annual base salary as a new hire
for this position ranges from $76,500 to $92,700 . Individual base
pay depends on various factors such as applicant’s education,
experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and
alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based
on applicant’s geographic location. Certain roles are eligible for
additional incentive compensation, including merit increases,
annual bonus, [and/or long-term incentives in the form of stock
